Plot Summary:
The L.A. of a not-too-distant future suffers a surge of drug abuse involving a new ultra-addictive and finally brain-damaging inwardness simply named “D”. Bob Arctor is an hole-and-corner narc ahead a double life, dutifully reportage to his superiors while in effect having deserted whatsoever normal beingness he had for a “D” user/dealer career. But this schizoid post and the drug-induced memory and compactness lapses put Bob under climb stress.
